Duty Solicitor - Crime

This is an exciting position for a talented criminal solicitor with police station accreditation to join our client’s thriving, niche practice.

Working closely with senior members of the team, the successful solicitor will attend and advice clients at police stations and courts throughout the area which will include out of hours work. In addition, the ideal solicitor will manage a varied caseload from instruction to trial. This role would be to cover West London within the firm’s offices in this area.

Responsibilities
• Providing a comprehensive crime duty service to Legal Aid and private clients
• Attending police stations both in and outside of office hours
• Providing advice and advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court
• Running police station and Magistrates’ Court files
• Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements

The Candidate
• Qualified solicitors at all level of experience in criminal defence matters
• Police station accreditation is essential
• Crime duty status is preferable
• Additional MCQ will be advantageous
• Ability to provide first-class client care
