SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - wanted for September start Location:Hayes, London.
Role: Teaching Assistant
Duration:Starting in Septemeber
Pay: GBP65 – 75 per day (paid on a weekly basis – negotiable dependant on experience and references)
Do you have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor or working closely with adolescent (youth/child) mental health?
Children with mental health needs thrive from having exceptional hard working staff with an in-depth and open understanding of mental health support. We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work full-time in a year 9 class within a school’s secondary department in West Drayton. Teaching Assistants will work 1:1 and in small groups delivering behaviour and education support programmes to pupils.

The school are looking for Teaching Assistants or those with mental health support experience that are:
- Open to working in schools with young people aged 11-18 who have been unable to learn in mainstream schools for a range of reasons such as mental health, special need diagnosis, being in care, being at risk of or being abused.
- Dedicated and consistent as building and maintaining positive relationships is vital.
- Someone who is able to start in September.

Essential criteria:
- Full-time availability
- Local to West Drayton, Hillingdon
- Teaching Assistant, Youth work or school support background
- Experience working with children/young people with mental health, special needs or in education
Desirable criteria: Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training, MIDAS trained to drive school minibus
