About the Role | Mo te Turanga
As an Inbound Specialist, you'll ensure the smooth flow of goods into Woolworths' distribution centres, managing both local and international shipments. You'll schedule orders, optimise inventory movement, and allocate stock to stores.
Collaborating with various teams, you'll maximise product availability, optimise DC resources, and balance supplier needs with internal constraints. This involves scheduling deliveries, resolving disruptions, and managing storage levels.
As a specialist you'll also monitor container arrivals, ensuring timely inter-warehouse transfers, and managing stock for major events like Christmas and Easter. Naturally, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, aimed at driving efficiency within inbound operations.
About You | Mou
Our ideal candidate excels at building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and effectively resolving conflicts to achieve shared goals. You'll possess proven negotiation skills and a strong ability to influence others, ensuring successful outcomes wherever possible.
With a background in Supply Chain / Transport / Supply Planning and with a keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset, you confidently make sound decisions and develop creative solutions to address business needs. Your positive attitude and inquisitive nature drive you to understand the root cause of issues, enabling you to identify problems and implement effective solutions, particularly when it comes to numerical reasoning and analysis.
